Target Walleye knows that you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy. By visiting and using the Target Walleye website, you are accepting the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy covers Target Walleye’s treatment of personal information that Target Walleye gathers when you are on the Target Walleye website (the “Site”) and when you use Target Walleye services (collectively the “Service”). This policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that Target Walleye does not own or control, such as advertisers, or to individuals that Target Walleye does not employ or manage.
Notice of all changes that materially affect ways in which your personally identifiable data may be used or shared will be posted in updates to this Privacy Policy. If you continue to use the TargetWalleye.com website/Service after notice of changes have been published on our site, you hereby provide your consent to the changed practices.
1. Types of Personal Information Target Walleye Collects
Our primary goal in collecting personal information is to provide you with a friendly, customized, and efficient experience. We collect the following types of information from our users:
a) Information You Provide to Us
We receive and store any information you enter on our website or provide to us in any other way. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of many of our special features.
b) Automatic Information
We receive and store certain types of non-personally identifiable information whenever you interact with us. Target Walleye automatically receives and records certain “traffic data” on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, Target Walleye cookie information, and the page you requested.
Cookies & Log Files
Like most websites, we use cookies and web log files to track site usage, including our site or our advertisers’ or partners’ sites; to accumulate and report anonymous, aggregate (data collected in mass), statistical information on website and advertisement usage; to determine which features our overall user population likes best; to save your password so you don’t have to re-enter it each time you visit our sites; and to display the most appropriate advertising or content based on your interests, among other uses.
A cookie is an alphanumeric identifier in the form of a tiny data file that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in our website are visited and by how many people. Target Walleye cookies do not collect personal information, and we do not combine information collected through cookies with other personal information to tell us who you are or what your screen name or email address is.
You may, on your browser, disable or reject cookies, but if so you may not be able to access all of the Target Walleye website content.
One type of cookie, known as a “persistent” cookie, may be set so that the next time you visit the TargetWalleye.com website, the persistent cookie will allow the website to recognize you.
Another type of cookie, called a “session” cookie, is used to identify a particular visit to TargetWalleye.com. Session cookies expire after a short time or when you close your web browser.
Due to the communications standards on the Internet, when you visit TargetWalleye.com we automatically receive the URL of the site from which you came and the site to which you are going when you leave TargetWalleye.com. We also receive the Internet protocol (IP) address of your computer (or the proxy server you use to access the World Wide Web), your computer operating system and type of web browser you are using, as well as the name of your ISP. This information may be used to analyze overall trends to help us improve TargetWalleye.com. The linkage between your IP address and your personally identifiable information will never be shared with third parties without your permission, except when required by law.
Any sensitive information that you provide will be secured with all industry standard protocols and technology.
Web Beacons
We may allow ad networks to serve advertisements to TargetWalleye.com users. Ad networks include third party ad servers, ad agencies, ad technology vendors and research firms. TargetWalleye.com may “target” some ads to readers that fit a certain general profile — for example, “fishermen in Minnesota.” We do NOT use personally identifiable information to target ads.
To deliver these ads properly, we may include a file, called a web beacon, from these ad networks within pages served by TargetWalleye.com so the networks may provide anonymized, aggregated auditing, research and reporting for advertisers as well as to target ads to you while you visit other websites.
Because your web browser must request these advertisements and web beacons from the ad network’s servers, these companies can view, edit or set their own cookies, just as if you had requested a web page from their site.
These web beacons may also be used by ad networks to display targeted ads on other websites as a substitute for random, irrelevant ads.
TargetWalleye.com may use technology like DoubleClick Inc. to serve ads. DoubleClick may use non-personal information, such as your state or zip code, in order to provide advertisements about goods and services that may be of interest to you while you visit TargetWalleye.com. In the course of serving advertisements to TargetWalleye.com, DoubleClick may place or recognize a unique “cookie” on your browser. If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about not having this information used by DoubleClick, please go to http://www.doubleclick.com/privacy/index.aspx. Note that when you opt-out of the DoubleClick cookie a special DoubleClick “opt-out” cookie will replace the DoubleClick Ad cookie. If you ever delete the cookies on your browser you will need to again opt-out of the DoubleClick Ad Cookie.
Some of our advertisers or other business partners may use cookies on our website. Target Walleye has no access to or control over these cookies.
If you opt-out you will lose the potential benefit of receiving ads that are more targeted to your interests.
Counters
Target Walleye may display a counter on any page indicating the total number of times that page has been viewed. This includes member profile pages.
Social Sharing
Cookie and similar information may be used to help you share TargetWalleye.com content across social networks.

> Do not post threatening, harassing, defamatory, or libelous material.
> Do not post links to external sites that are obscene, pornographic or which have nothing to do with music or the music business.
> Do not intentionally make false or misleading statements.
> Do not offer to sell or buy any product or service unless explicitly authorized in writing by TargetWalleye.com.
> Do not post material that infringes copyright.

2. We reserve the right to move or remove any posting, including comments and/or blog posts, without notice or explanation at our sole discretion. We do not commit to preserving every posting – please bear this in mind if you post. While we sometimes do explain deletions, the number of posts vs. the size of our staff makes it impossible to always do so. Please don’t take deletions personally. No one likes to have their posts deleted, but users appreciate a high signal-to-noise ratio.
3. That said, we don’t have the resources to review every post on the site. If you see a post that you feel is inappropriate, please send an email with the URL of the post in question to admin AT Target Walleye DOT rocks. We also can’t promise 100% consistency in administration of comments though we endeavor to do so.
