Yo! I’m comin’ at you with some new schtuff that caught my eye while down at ICAST (the fishing biz trade show) in Orlando, FL. Of course I can’t fit every cool new thing in a single email, so will have a BUNCH more headed your way in upcoming Target Walleyes. Hope this holds you off until next week – enjoy!

3. Savage Gear Switch Blade.Pretty sure if a jigging spoon + blade bait + glide bait had a 👶 their offspring would be the Savage Gear Switch Blade. Comes in 3 sizes (1 2/3″, 3/16 oz – 2″, 1/3 oz – 2 1/3″ 5/8 oz) and 8 colors:

And here’s a quick look at its action in <18″ of water…so you can imagine how wild it’d be if you had more real-estate to work with:
|
|
4. VMC Ned Rig Jigs.> “A hybrid bend in the Ned Rig Jig’s 1X-strong, forged, fine-wire Vanadium Steel hook provides extra strength. A chemically sharpened needle point and a hybrid, wide gap ensures that bass [and of course walleyes! 😏] stay buttoned….”

Available in 4 sizes (1/16, 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4 oz) and 3 colors (black, green pumpkin and chartreuse). Love that all the sizes will have a 1/0 hook, ‘cuz a lot of other jigs out there start bumping up the hook size the heavier they get…which is fine unless you’re trying to throw compact little baits like you want to with a Ned rig. Can’t wait to try ’em.
5. Northland Buck-Shot Coffin Spoon.
Loud and proud 💪 with a killer tumbling action. I got to play with one last winter on Lake of the Woods and it’s the real deal. Comes in 4 sizes (1/8, 3/16, 1/4, and 3/8 oz) and 12 colors – available this fall:
|
|
6. Lindy Rattl’n Quiver Spoon. They were able to incorporate the rattle system into the bait’s eyeball so she’s now a noise-maker, but still has that same lightweight brass construction and sloooow tantalizing fall the original Quiver Spoon is known for.

1. New colors in Berkley PowerBait The Champ Swimmers and Minnows.
You asked for more “walleye colors” in Berkley PowerBait The Champ Swimmers and The Champ Minnows…no doubt Berkley delivered. Quick glimpse at a few I’ll definitely be slinging:
|
|
But did you know there’s a species of walleye candy called the “sculpin” that’s native in more waters than you’d think? 🤫 Google ’em. Learn ’em. Walleyes devour ’em.

Some more fishy new gear.
|
|
2. ACME Rattlin’ Walleye Spinner Rig.The first-ever crawler harness that rattles – 🤯 why didn’t I think of that? The one on the left is translucent just so you can see a bit of the internals (rattle chamber is on top):
|
|
I was able to snag a pair of the Santiagos and love ’em! It’s hard to find frames that work with my oversized melon, but these ones fit GREAT so I wasn’t going to leave there without a pair lol.
4. New Bandit Walleye Deep and Walleye Shallow colors.
Might just be the most-productive walleye lures on Lake Erie ever. Bold statement, I know, but seriously. I’d bet that if you were getting breakfast at a local diner, and a Lake Erie local overheard you saying you caught fish on something other than a Bandit Walleye Deep or Walleye Shallow they’d probably spit out their coffee lol. 🤷♂️ Or you just might not get served hahaha. Either way you’ve gotta have ’em in your arsenal and they’re adding a bunch more new colors:

Shout-out to Eagle Claw for always thinking about the walleye crowd! 🙌
6. Okuma Ceymar TG.
> Ceymar TG are the latest limited-edition reels from Okuma. The Ceymar TG will be offered in a matte Tactical Green color and come in various sizes for both spinning and bait feeder models.

|
7. Railblaza Tackle Caddy.> …can be track mounted tool-free on most gunnel tracks…including Tracker, Crestliner, Lowe, Lund, War Eagle, Princecraft…and many more. …perfect place for storing tackle boxes, lures, pliers and cell phones.

1. Humminbird HELIX 7 G4N models.
I know the “cool” thing is to talk about the most expensive electronics you can find – and we do hit on higher-end units plenty – but the reality is most folks don’t need $15K in sonar to get out and catch a few fish. So I thought this one was super cool…
Can now get Humminbird MEGA Side Imaging in a 7″ HELIX unit, plus all the technology you find in the big brother models with upgrades like the 3 preset keys, high-def display, 2 micro sd slots, and the SI and DI models will even work with MEGA Live Imaging.

Proof you can ball on a budget! Or ball on a kayak, jon boat, or smaller tin rigs. 👊
2. Aqua-Vu AV Connect HD.
Know a lot of folks have been waiting for this one – this little gadget lets you record and share video footage from Aqua-Vu’s HD camera series straight to your cell phone or tablet:

Wish I would have been taking better notes when chatting with the Garmin crew, but it sounds like the transducer cable has been upgraded on this unit as well. Doesn’t get as stiff and is way more manageable in the freezing cold.

He’s in it now, but still can’t answer that question…. Brett is one of those guys who majored in marketing, only because there was no such thing as a “fishing degree” at the time….
